Dates, sessions, venues, technology

he recording dates offered by EUROPEAN FILMPHILHARMONIC INSTITUTE on behalf of the orchestra association are fixed. The orchestras arrange these dates according to their schedule up to 2 years in advance.
Hence, we recommend contacting EUROPEAN FILMPHILHARMONIC INSTITUTE early on in the film production or composition commissioning process in order to book suitable recording dates at an early stage. Since film production processes may involve delays, EUROPEAN FILMPHILHARMONIC INSTITUTE strives to deal flexibility with changes in schedules.

Our offer consists of the respective orchestra´s basic instrumentation, which is presented on the following pages. Additional instruments, such as saxophones, will be invoiced per hour.
A maximum of 2 sessions, each of which is 2.5 hours to 3 hours in length, can be booked per day. Each orchestra has its preferred recording venue in its home town which may consist of its own hall, a particular studio or an acoustically suitable alternative. The choice of sound engineers and recording technology is flexible and depends on the respective orchestra and conductor as well as the composer’s requests. Frank Strobel regularly
works with the sound engineers of Germany’s foremost studios.

The EUROPEAN FILMPHILHARMONIC INSTITUTE team looks forward to assisting you with further advice and arranging recording dates with the associated orchestras.
